Great list - there should be a phone app for this so people can take their cars to get serviced and not be killed by the lingo. This beats scribbling down "MPH" on a piece of paper to give to your wife so she at least knows something - right fellas? Who's with with me?

Actually TLA isn't an acronym.

a word formed from the initial letters or groups of letters of words in a set phrase or series of words, as Wac from Women's Army Corps, OPEC from Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, or loran from long-range navigation.

TLA should stand for Three Letter Abbreviation

a shortened or contracted form of a word or phrase, used to represent the whole, as Dr. for Doctor, U.S. for United States, lb. for pound.

Just sayin....

They weren't AMC until 1971. Before AMC bought them out, they were Kaiser Jeep (starting when Kaiser bought out Willys).
