Advice on buying high milage jeep

I looking to buy a Wrangler but am having trouble finding what I want and can afford. My main wants are color (flame red or black) and auto transmission under 21K. I found a beautiful 2008 unlimited former fleet vechicle, clean carfax for $18400. But it has 107000 miles on it. Looks brand new inside and out and is RED. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

107k is just getting started!

Have a good check done at a shop greenbelt under $100 and if you are really worried have them check compression, give it a good test drive, check everything.

I'm not saying one way or the other but 90% of the fleet vehicles I've encountered have spent very little time in the low rpm range. Company car, company gas, company paid maintenance... You see where I'm heading with this?

Would you go easy with a company vehicle.Anything over a 100k thats when parts start going to shit.If you can't fix yourself start adding repair costs. It's worth the time searching and money spent on lower miles. It's a no brainier spend now or sooner.

I know the 4.0 are work horses. But they stop using the. In 07( i think) not sure on the new v6 how well they are with high miles. I'd say any 4.0 you fine with anything 100-150 as long as someone took care of it.

I've spent some time perusing through JK problem threads and it seems like before fiat took over they had tons of issues. Head problems, fires, electrical malfunctions. Just speaking from what I've seen on forums not from experience. The 12's+ seem to be fine though. Only time will tell.
