Stay away from K&N, they let too much dirt into the engine and you won't see any performance gain. If Fram's air filters are anything like their oil filters, I would stay way from them too. I've heard a lot of people like Ac Delco filters, which is what I'm planning on getting for my tune up.
Yeah I got a four banger, big whoop, wanna fight about it!?

I've always loved the Amsoil AE filters. I used them on my turbo Subarus, that saw a lot of dusty driving (i used my rally-bred heritage!!) with no issues. If anything, keeping the incoming air clean in a turbo engine is even more important. Dust and dirt will kill a turbo in short order.

I use a fram paper filter.
works fine.
I dont see a big difference in paper, they are all pretty similar. It may not be my first pick, but I would not worry to much if all ya can find is a fram.

paper is paper.
