Answer to Removing Water Spots After Washing

I was too hot (100 degrees)& lazy to shammy down my Jeep so I ended up with

So I searched and found that these water spots are mineral deposits left by hard water. And I mixed some Distilled White Vinegar mixed with water in a clean spray bottle. Then I misted the Jeep and wiped dry with a clean shammy and no more water spots!

My thanks to Auto Geeks for the idea.

Bon Ami works great on the windows. Fine steel wool works good too (windows only!)

You can avoid spots altogether buy using one of those sprayer nozzles that allow you to add stuff like soap. After you wash and rinse you get your nozzle with the place to add stuff. Put in some JetDry anti spot rinse that you use in dishwashers and rinse the vehicle. It leaves it spot free.

You will need to re-wax, as the vinegar will remove any wax on the surface.

Little tip, forget all the fancy tricks and anti-spot stuff. Simply keep the surface of the paint waxed, then when you are done washing take the nozzle off and flood the surface of the car from top down. If done properly, this takes the thousands of water droplets and consolidates them to just a few hundred. Chamois after your done rinsing with some quick detailer, and your good to go.

I wash my Jeep once a week. Already waxed him 3 times since I got him May 23rd.
