Have you talked with AEV? They would be the ones to contact.

A little ways down you can find all the installation documents for the Brute kit. That will probably give you the most insight as to what is involved.

But good luck...they are REALLY nice looking. Are you also going to add the highline kit?

Well those instructions on AEV's website give a pretty good description of what is involved...some nice diagrams and pictures as well.

its built off a tj.. you pretty much take your jeep.. cut off the tub behind the doors.. and weld on the truck bed.. and new hardtop, hood, fenders.. yadda yadda yadda.. i believe just the parts are around 10k..

seeing that you have a YJ, the brute kit will not really work for you. not without some serious work. the only thing from the brute kit that wouldnt require even more modification would be the bed, and i believe the rear frame extensions.
the cab close out will not work, and IIRC neither will the half top. if you want to do it, the cheaper, and easier way is to get a top and bulkhead from gr8tops and have the cut part of the tub closed out, you could use part of the back half that is cut off to make it look more factory. you would also need to figure out where to stretch your frame 10 inches, once again IIRC, you cant do it in the same spot as you would with a TJ.

I looked into this a while ago, so I dont remember things exactly. go over to the AEV forum and ask around, none of the AEV guys were to sure what all it would need since none of them could really remember much about the yjs(yes, i have asked). but they do know their product better then any one, so if you have questions about it, they are the ones to ask.
