Any interest in an offroad trailer ??

Checking the offroad market to see if there would be an interest in an off road style trailer like this. It could be outfitted with a roof top tent. I have been pricing them and decided to build this one instead for about 1/2 the price. Total with tent and upgraded suspension and 31" Tires prices out at about $3500.00. I have seen others that start at $7500 and go up to the moon. Looking for constructive feedback....

Sounds like a fair option to all those expensive ones out there.

$2600 and change. I supplied the wheels and tires. Came with 2 gas cans and a fully articulating hitch. I had them add drain holes. Great trailer.

Trailer Order Form

Very crappy website, but a great trailer. Based in Texas.

Ok, what is the trailer for? I'm not trying to be a smartass but I truly don't understand why anyone would need it. Do people really take enough crap with them on the trail to necessitate a trailer? I never have but then again I live in the southeast and most of our trails are within walking distance of some form of civilization. I would hate to have to pull one when I go wheelin'.

But... they do look well built.

I bought mine for camping and when you camp with my wife you bring a ton of crap with you. Mostly I don't need an off road trailer, but I like having the option of taking all that crap with us back country and setting up camp. append only once though.

I also use mine for my business. I own a convenience store and when my wife has a huge bunch of crap that she needs to pick up at Sam's Club, we hook up the trailer to the Jeep and we can bring home a large load back to work for us.

This summer I plan on using it as a really big cooler for a party that I'm planning that will be held back country. I've cut styrofoam insulation to fit in the trailer and made it double thickness to maintain the cold for the entire day and will use it to bring the food and drink back country and we can party along the Pecos River near an old Commachero stronghold.

Another planned use for the cooler configuration of this trailer is I'm taking it to Chicago with me and loading it up with a variety of pizzas, many tubs of Chicago style roast beef for sandwiches, dumplings and other midwestern types of foods for consumption back at home in NM. I'm planning that trip for late April or early May.

I probably have close to 2000 miles on mine already.
