Question Any thoughts on this?

I wanna put 35s on my jeep and have a 6" lift.. mine's got a d35 rear, d30 front with 31s and a 2 inch lift now.

recently I was doing some research and came across this listing on craigslist. its a 98 (same year as mine) with a ford 8.8 rear, V8 from a dodge ram, upgraded NV3550 manual transmission, 4 inch lift kit on 33s with both the front d30 and rear ford 8.8 regeared to 4.10s. this has almost everything I would need underneath already installed, so it would be a ton less work and overall I think it would save me money for what I want to do to my jeep for me to just sell mine (worth about $7,000) and buy this one.

just take a look at it and give me some feedback. Just wanna get some honest opinions from some jeep owners..

here's the listing let me know what you think
1998 Jeep Wrangler with 5.9L V8

(i know... the light blue color is hideous and same with the chrome - keep in mind I would need to put new bumpers on, new sidesteps, replace everything that is chrome, and get a good solid paintjob around the entire thing)

this thing has a V8!!!! he's got all the receipts for all work (over $8,000 worth of work) ever done on it from one local 4x4 shop... looks good so far and I'm going to look at it in person on friday.

guess my final question is:
would it benefit me to sell mine and buy this one in the long run?

Link didnt work.. If its what you want to do do it.. If you dont want to do the work yourself then do it.... They sell bolt in axles and everything now so its pretty simple

Take it for a test drive and see how you like it before you make any decisions.

Yep got that scheduled for Friday so I'll have a better idea of it then.. I'm definitely considering this jeep though as it's already got half of the upgrades I was gonna get anyways

If it drives well and looks good mechanically I'd do it if I were you. Of course there is some peace of mind that goes along with building up your own rig.

I just don't wanna pay that much. Seems more logical to sell mine and buy one of close to equal value that's already built. Saves my wallet a hurtin if I pay a little more up front. Makes sense right?

This jeep was not as good as I thought. Most all of its worth was in the engine and rear axle. It definitely had power, but if I had've bought that jeep a might as well have taken the engine, transmission, and axle out and put it in mine. It had broken parts all over, no carpet or rhino lining, huge tear in front seat ( would need a whole new seat ), and I don't wanna do all that.
