anyone have experiance with dry cold air intake filters?

I am looking at a new cold air intake. I have the edge throttle body and computer (trail jammer kit) I have a pacesetter cold air intake that I want to replace however edge does not sell just the intake. The edge rep said AFE makes their intakes.

I spoke with AFE and they offer a oiled filter and a dry no oil filter.

does anyone have any advise or experiance with a dry filter? I like that its washable and you dont oil it!!! Please help I am ordering today!!

Don't know what you're driving !!

JK's use a FRAM "dry" filter $13 bucks a pop--simple cheap

Great thanx, it's the same situation, the 4.0L jeep is a bullet proof standby, but

It's till a low RPM/good torque crawler, so I don't think any of the oil-impregnated/reuseable filters are a good idea-especially for a jeep !!

Good luck

I'm a fan of amsoil filters...

I dislike cotton oiled filters. I don't really even consider them filters...more of a screen.
