Anyone out there do embroidery?

Looking for a custom winch hook strap...

I really want one that looks like a "Remove Before Flight" flag.

I don't sew or anything, otherwise I would make one...

Anyone have a talented seamstress in the house? I bet I am not the first person to want one of these!

Our mall has an embroidery place the key would be finding the strap

I would think there would be some place in a mall somewhere - but yes, the strap is the challenge to find. Hello fellow Texas Jeepers.

Use a red dog leash, cut to size, find someone with a vinyl heat press. (I have one, but don't have the right vinyl material to heat press onto nylon right now)

Silkscreen would work too, but not as lasting as embroidery.

Good ideas! Think I'll go shopping and see what I come across. The leash thing I would have never though of!

Also mountain climbing and military surplus stores often sell just the nylon strap by the foot...but the challenge is finding someone who can sew it.

Look on the military Jeepers web site. I know right outside of Osan AFB you can get embroidered straps like that. They have a snap that creates the loop when folded back onto itself and snapped. I had some made for my seabags.

Go to one of the online pilot shops. Lots of them there. Various sizes.

Perfect, I can't believe I didn't think of the crazy sewing shops around here (Fort Hood)!

I have a ton of actual remove before flight tags, but they just aren't the right sizes. It will be better to have it made I think.

If anyone can tell us were to buy the straps I would appreciate it.

Or if you have the strap, send it to us with what you want on it and we will do the embroidery.
