anyone running these?

seems too good to be true. i know they arent a well know brand but im looking to replace the shafts in my d30 as they are shot and stumbled across this "chrome moly 4340" shafts on ebay..

Chrome 4340 Axle Dana 30 Wrangler 27 Spline 6.11" Outer - eBay (item 390202110333 end time Apr-23-11 13:01:02 PDT)

anyone running these or heard experience?

also will they work in an '87 d30? being that its for "tjs"

hell they even have a life time no questions asked warranty..im almost thinking ill try them either way but still need to know if they fit

you're doing this to replace your 2 piece passenger side axle right?

They will fit, just remember to replace the axle seals! the PO of my jeep put one of the TJ shafts in and didnt replace the seals.. water got in and made the gear oil leak out the passenger side. You will want to get a block off plate for your vacuum actuator housing, or just disconnect the vacuum lines, and cap the actuator. Your 4wd light might not work, mine doesnt.. but it will still engage. Your front drive train will always spin when in motion too, so you might loose a little gas mileage.

well theres a few reasons why im replacing them..
1. these claim to be 4340 which is 50% stronger-im running 35's so i figured the added strength will aid in preventing a broken shaft

2. the d30 i bought with 4.10s actually has a grand cherokee cv shaft on the drivers side
wanna get rid of that peice of shit asap

3. want to ditch the vacuum as you said. ive noticed numerous times it not work properly

4. the shafts in there look very rusty tired and worn

so thats pretty much why i want to do this..thanks for the heads up with the seal. ill look into that too
and as far as the gas mileage, im not concerned thats why i drive an se-r everyday..4 cyl ftw

i'd do it if i were you, if they have a no questions warrantly, i'd wheel the f*@k out of them until they do, then get more lol.. there are write-ups which reference part numbers for seals.. I went to oreillys and got the axle outer seal, they didnt have the inner seal but i figured i'd be okay without it, especially when i found out it had the original YJ seal which had a much bigger opening, and did absolutely nothing to seal lol. The seal was like $17 though, make sure to ask for a TJ outer front axle seal. You'll also need new U joints too
