Appropriate Decals for a Red TJ?

I've always marveled at how AWESOME army-green Wranglers look with military-style decals on them. (IE. Invasion Stars, numbering on the hood, etc) Unfortunately, I do not have an army-green jeep... or a tan jeep... or a black jeep. Firetruck-red to be exact...

If I had an appropriate color, I would jump for some military-style decals, but I don't. This is to anyone out there, what does look good on a Red Jeep in your opinion? Maybe something very very similar to the decals I'm thinking of, but yet, ones that don't look out of place on a Red Jeep? I'm thinking something like a Hammer and Sickle on Communist Red... except not so communist? (I'm not a fan of the Soviets) But you get my point...

Thanks for the help!!

***Just added the Cargo net around the back... despite not holding any major cargo... still gets heads turning***

I like it alot, and it goes on fairly easily. The only downside is that if you are a tall person, it whips you in the head when sitting in the back. I get that complaint a lot... . Other than that, I think that it's a really great add-on for around $80, completely worth it. It seems strong enough to actually hold cargo in, as long as it doesn't slip through the holes (ie. Golf clubs, etc).

I would definitely recommend it.

just thought i would share a picture of my cargo net also its definitely nice only downside i see is people actually gotta climb in the door to get back there like a full top instead of jumping on the tire but i dont take people other then the wife and dog often so oh well

Well I will tell you what NOT to put on your jeep if you are in the air force..... I got called yesterday morning from a civilian complain on base saying my sticker was offensive to them...... Police didnt do anything because they didnt care, BUT one sour apple cause me to lose my 33 dollar sticker across my windshield saying....
" If I wanted a HUMMER, I would of asked your sister".

I am still irked over this one......... Heaven forbid the person who got offended watched a rated R movie, or late night tv, far more offensive to people.....

BTW where did you pick up that net for $80.00? Can you have it on with a hardtop as well?
I have about the same rig, 06 TJ 6 speed inferno red!

Thats a pretty popular sticker.. And a great one at that.. Even with preasure you should have not taken it down. The only people who I have ever known to complain about that sticker are hummer owners, but thats the point of the sticker to piss them off and hope they learn the error of there ways.
It's a sticker that will bring smiles to pretty much everyone else who "understands"

To the person asking where to find the net for 80, a few online retailers have it at that price, just go google it and search the shopping tab.

Also, if you don't find anyone you trust at $80, Quadretec has it for $99. ...Still a great deal if you ask me.

It will work with a hardtop if you have the softtop lips around the edge of your jeep. It straps around the roll bars and clips into the lips around the back ofthe jeep. I can get mine on in around 10 minutes

well military green makes for good military stickers...
fire engine red would work good with fire engine stickers...?

maybe some fire axes on the hood
a fire hose in the back
a later on the top.

LOL well maybe just some stickers with a fire fighter theme. maybe not something thats trying to look like a modern fire fighter, but maybe some vintage themes or something. idk

put a white medic decal on it. or a swiss army knife symbol would be sweet.

I have an invasion star on mine under the 4.0 and love it. Even though mine is green, I'd imagine it would still look just as sweet on a red one. After all jeeps were used in the military. I figure we all could put invasion stars on our jeeps if we technically wanted.

The cops didn't do anything because there is nothing they can do. Your not breaking any law. Which confuses me why you even took it off, You let the neighbor or whoever it was win.
Stuff like this really bugs me. People think they have the right these days to complain about any possible friggin thing that they don't agree about. And they expect to win no matter what.

Put the sticker back on in bigger brighter letters.

BTW...to the OP if anything do it in black.

It works a little bit differently for service members. I see a guy ride his bike on base all the time that it lime green and in big bold letters says "Can you see me now ass hole" but he had to cover the adult word with duct tape to be allowed to wear it on base.
Ridiculous, I agree. But the way it is none the less...

I like the Jeep! The red looks good, but I do have to say that I don't really care for the cargo net on Jeeps. To each his own though.

As far as a decal...just match it to your personality, whether that's military or fireman or whatever. You'll enjoy that in the long run the most.

With red, I would use a shade of silver, grey or black for what ever decals you choose.

Flat black decals look good on red, Gloss black also if you dont want to hassle with the wax issue in flat black decals. But never the less use black. You could go all confederate with the jeep also. Nice big blue X with the stars in it or something like that. Just some sugestions.

For us active duty folks it's not that easy. All it takes is one complaint and we have to remove it. It's a pretty accurate statement to say that we give up our rights to defend everyone else's; even people who have nothing better to do than to find things to get offended by so they can stir the pot a little more.

What year is tj? Looks a lot like mine except my decals are silver.

I'm sure there is a local company that can make anything you want and have it match exactly your current ones

I wish my flares were black like yours. Real tempted to paint this weekend.
