Angry at a loss

I have a 2007 wrangler x 4 door and it has a death wobble.I have replaced both pitman arm tie rods, steering stabilizer, and rotated the tires, checked all bolts in front end and they are all tight. I dont know what to do, any thoughts.

All bushings appear to be ok but haven't taken apart to see. I will get alined asap. This rig only has 38,000 miles on it and has no off road miles on it, is this common to wear out parts so fast.

Stock jeep? How is the track bar,is the hole for the bolt tight to the bolt or has the bolt made the hole bigger?

Yes it is stock, the track bar has very little movement in it on the right side the bar moves a little maybe 1/8" when turning tires.

Had slight DW mine '07 4 door, however has a lift. I had gussets welded on the track bar, there is quiet a large bend in it causing it to flex, problem solved.

im not up on TJs, but i had (and have) a dodge with the same suspension setup. it seems to me like any trackbar slop is too much. if you can move it nearly 1/8th inch just watching it, the force of the vehicle on the road can likely move it more. i may be wrong though.

check alignment. They are recommended as a yearly procedure. Most cases of DW have alignment issues (based on what I've seen/read). and it won't hurt to have front end checked out by a professional.

Maybe try someone else to balance the tires. My 06 had a bad wobble I couldn't figure out until I had the tires balanced by another shop and amazingly wobble completely gone.

Just a note, tire "wobble" should be harmonic. it will come on at certain speeds, and go away at others.

That is unless its way off.

Make sure they do a dual plane balance on the wheel/tire. I know some shops do a single b/c they are massive LT tires...but a dual is necessary IMO.

Take it back to the alignment shop you used, see if they can find anything moving....They should have seen it the first time IMO. They shouldn't charge you.

(I know lots of "shoulds", but if I missed something on an alignment, I'd take care of the customer...I just hope others practice this.)

If that Track bar has any movement, it may be your cause, but I hat to see people throwing parts at a problem.

I was at the alignment shop with them when they worked on it, we had 3 guys under it looking for any movement, none of us could see anything, track bar was flexing a little bit, was thinking it was weak.

I'm really pleased to hear they were willing to listen, and let you sit under there too. That's really cool of them. too many crap shops around!

I'll divert that flexing to someone else...I've never seen one flex, but our definitions of flex may be different. I'd say if there was any movement it wasn't a good thing.
