At what temp do you take your top off?

This question is a little different for the ladies. I don't care if I'm only going a mile away, top is down if it's above 70.

All depends on my BAC.

I assume he means Blood Alcohol Content...

Don't drink and drive please!

I have been known to run the Heat or Air.. anything I need to do... in order to take that top off and leave it off.

If its at the beginning of the season 60's will do the trick. But it has to stay above 70 before I leave it off, and the doors come off.

I only take mine completely off for a month or so. Once the temp gets over 100 degrees like it did today, the sun is a killer.

55 degrees and under 20 percent chance of rain. If its over 20 percent I take the windows with me wherever I go. Only take doors off if I know its gonna be nice for at least four days in a row. OCD I know but it works for me.

ding ding ding.

Most women don't want to see me with my top off these days.

I used to go by what the starting temp of my day is going to be since I had a long commute. Over 60, top off and suffer with a jacket on in the morning. Nothing but smiles for the drive home.

Nowadays, I have a commuter car so my Jeep sits in my driveway waiting for the weekend or a nice Friday to come along. The top has been off and stored in the shed until winter along with the doors.

Tops belong on? I ran the last bit of winter into spring with the top off, got snowed on twice. Sucked but the looks were priceless.

WI weather sucks, so I have been taking the top off when it is sunny and no chance of rain. The freedom top panels make it easy to half topless. I only had the whole hardtop off once and it was nice. However, I can't take the top off by myself so I will normally go half topless most of the time. I have never taken the doors off and I don't plan on it. But I won't say NEVER because you never know.

I think the lowest I went was 46 this past march. I had the soft top in the sunrider position this weekend though and it's coming close to the 110's. I'd fold it all down if it weren't for my 3 year old in the back seat. I'm more worried about exposing him to the sun too much than myself.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that it was that temp with top and doors off. I remember it well because a guy on a motorcycle pulled up next to me, rubbed his hands together and gave me the look of "you're crazy! Aren't you cold!?!?" then took off. Of course I was. I was freezing but didn't have a neighbor handy to put the hard top back on. All my years of riding motorcycles must have conditioned me to the elements.

My top will never be on unless its gets too hot in the late summer and then I will run it in safari mode. Its pretty much 80 degrees here all year but I don't want the seats to get too hot when temps creep into the 90's.

I have the roof off and doors off mine just now and have done since the end of March over here in Scotland and the weather is not great most of the time but as long as i can put the top up before it rains that does me. Lately the weather has been high 60's so it is good but some mornings on the way to work itis well below 50 and it is time for a jumper and gloves. I get some wierd looks from other cars but i know no rain comes in, they don't.

Bought my TJ in March. I took the doors and windows off after about 2 weeks and they haven't been back on for anything but hellacious rain since. I'll bundle in a carhartt and a headcover on my way to work at 4 in the morning just for the enjoyment of riding home topless in the early afternoon haha

I take mine off everyday, even when I get called to go to work which is 15 minutes away have it down to a 6 minute process. And with the no rain we have had this spring it has been down every day!

This April was beautiful in NYC so I had my top down and doors off... Wasn't so nice when it was 3am and 36 out but I made due... Had the top down and doors off for 22 days straight....in April! Now it's whenever I can and the doors usually go to unless there is rain forecast...

Bought mine in late April but only took the top off around mid May. Don't actually have a problem with it getting too hot(so far anyways). I'm sure it'll stay off too until at least mid September!!

When the temp consistently gets around 70. Last year it was off in April and not back on until late November. This year its been off since late march. Ive got 2 other veh to drive when its raining. Was 107 here 2 days ago. Yes it was a little warm, but the bikini top shields the brunt of the heat. Top will go back on probably October some time.
