Attention Girls! Tips Needed

Hi Girls!

I was interested to know what solutions you use to keep your hair under control while the windows are down and top is off? (Jeep Top :-P)

I've never stocked hats and scarves, but I know I don't want to look like I stuck my finger in an electrical socket by the time I reach my destination.

French braids +

I always keep a few on my shift lever for the Mrs. when she rides.

In a hurry, a ball cap with a hair band at the crown of your head to get the pony tail started, feed it through the hole in the hat, and then another at the end of the pony tail to keep the tangles under control.....

Also, if you google "hair bands" for the image I used above, you get a lot of this

I don't know but maybe a pony tale, a hair net which can be easily stuffed in the glove box, best of all IMO, a baseball cap with a Jeep logo.

I use just a hair tie. I tell all my girlfriends before they get in "Jed" that if your worried about a hair being out of place or getting dirty, this is not the ride for you. I also put a little bit of conditioner in the ends of my hair before I let it go blowing in the wind. It helps with keeping it protected and it intangibles easily. A trick I learned from riding motorcycles.

I went and moved this thread to "general jeep discussion" since the topic is kind of jeep related. OT would of worked too, but I felt gen was a better choice

I'm not a girl, but I have long hair and a fairly long beard. What I do is a pony tail with hair tie and wear either a doo-rag styled bandana, trucker cap, skull cap, or wool jeep cap to keep the strays back. Also if you wear sunglasses it should stop your hair from hitting you in the eyes.

PS- If your top is off no one will be looking at your hair lol.

x2...I keep mine in a pony tail all the time and wear a cap with sunglasses in the summer, but a bandanna really works better than the cap

You all are so funny! Thank you for your suggestions, love them.

I do the messy updo, hat and sunglasses when I can find them.

My Wife makes sure I keep a ball cap and one of those long India style scarfs in the center storage.
Every once in a while I will clean the jeep out and leave her stuff in the house.
She always gets all sad "What, I'm not allowed in the Jeep anymore?"

As a side note, I sometimes need to use the family car (Honda Pilot) to move large stuff.
Whenever I come back, the Jeep is moved, and the top is down.
"Oh, I had to run to grab some milk".
A two minute drive at the most.
At least she is having fun.

My hair is a little shorter. So I just go for that wash-and-wear blow-dry-at-60mph kind of look most days LOL!

After reading so many good suggestions I think my idea of a hairnet is really stupid. The best idea I think is "wash-and-wear blow-dry-at-60mph"

I used to keep a baseball cap in the Jeep. But after a while I just gave up and got a buzz cut. That's great if you're a guy like me but it's not really a practical solution for most women.

I guess my only suggestion beyond a hat is a lot of hair spray, some hair bands, or a nice tight braid.

I keep hairbands on the gear-shift ... my only problem is remembering to return them back to the Jeep afterwards!

Yes but she was asking about what to do with her hair, not what to wear...
