awesome sand ladder

Hey guys these things look awesome. I could see uses for them in any terrain not just sand. But gOSSSHHH look at the price!

Does anyone have any ideas on how to make something like this? obviously you could carry some wood with you but... what ideas Im looking for is how to add some traction to the wood. Not sure how they would fare tho prolly just come off.

You think something like these, alot of them bolted on the wood would add some traction like those sand ladders?

Also Ive got some of these. 1100lb capacity... but.. if I take it apart (at the fold) and use separately (which Im sure would up the lb rating as it would be lying flat on the ground.. I wonder if something like that would work.

Im thinking in terms of some mud in northern az

anyone have anything like this in their recovery gear? LoL jimbox youve prolly got something in the back of your jeep..

I also have two rolls of 12' ARP sandtracks, that, I've used here in Nevada sand

I don't have any pic's ofem, but if you google "ARB Sand track--Bushranger "

It'll showem and they are really easy to carry, rolled up with a case/handle and are very beneficial, but you have be VERY GENTLE with the throttle !!

Thats kinda high, but I've used them 5 times and they are tough truck tire tread rubber sections, held toether with stainless cable and rubber bushings

Probably will last as long as I do ()

Hmm since you say its made from tire tread I wonder if I could snatch an old tire cut off the side walls and have something nice (albeit that doesnt fold)

Im going to give it a try. edit hmm there wont be any traction on one side with the tire idea. bad idea
