I did the same thing. Ordered one, and it was back order a week. Nates 4x4 is now on Amazon. Similar bumper for $255 shipped. Check them out!

Tom, if you're looking for pics of this installed on a YJ, we do have one that was submitted to us by a customer. You can check that out by heading over to the product page for the TJ & YJ Wrangler Barricade Bumper!

Hopefully that's what you're looking for!

The price is $269.99 for the front bumper with Free Shipping to the US. We also offer a forums discount code for our friends here at WranglerForum. That will take another 6% off of the price. If you're interested, anyone with over 25 posts can shoot me a PM and I'll hook them up with it! Let me know if you have absolutely any other questions at all.

The bumper doesn't include a skid plate to cover the crash bar. I'm not sure if this is something Barricade will be looking at moving forward, but I'll definitely find out and report back.

We didn't notice that much of a difference in ride height when installing the bumper on our own JK's, TJ and YJ. We do list the weights of the bumpers from Barricade on our product pages, which should also help out. There may have been a marginal difference in rake, but definitely not huge or noticeable. The tough thing is that everyone's going to see different results based off of their spring rates, etc. It really depends on what setup you're currently running.

Glad to hear that we're getting one shipped out for you. Looks like they're still set to land. These ended up being extremely popular and we're selling out of every order we place. We're trying to get more of these so that things can return to normal. Thanks for your patience. I think you'll really love the new bumper and would love to see some pics or hear your thoughts once you get a chance to get it installed!

Ksean, we don't currently ship to Canada but that's something that we're looking to change in the near future. We think they look pretty cool too, thanks for the comment! Do you have anyone in the US that could take delivery of the bumper for you in the meantime?

Beyond disappointed with my first experience with Extreme Terrain. I'll be looking somewhere else to purchase my Jeep parts.
We've since changed the messaging on our site to let people know that they were out-of-stock. That wasn't intentional at all. The last thing we want to do is upset our loyal customers. Please let me know if there's anything we can do to make you happy and gain your business back. Even if there's something we can do to just make it right regardless, shoot me over a PM! We're definitely not about to lose a customer over a mistake on our end in our system that didn't display the backorder!

Hope this helps, guys! Let me know if you have absolutely any questions at all and I'll definitely be monitoring this thread now that I'm in my new role.

Thanks again!

Ryan

Look at the bumper on their web site.

http://www.extremeterrain.com/barric...er-j20851.html

Part #J20851

I'm pretty sure the winch holes are the standard 10 x 4.5 inch.

There are tabs on the hoop for additional lights. See the pics on the link above.

I don't work for Extreme Terrain, I simply researched this product before I attempted my purchase.

My lights are Kc factory replacement and wont reach the mount tabs. Im gonna use rigid cubes for the tabs but i thought the 10/4.5 was the distance, now the size of the holes. Im new to winches and mounts

The winch mounting holes measure 9/16" or just over 14MM in diameter. You could look at using a bushing or rubber grommet to take up any extra space when mounting your lights. Let me know if I can answer any other questions for you!

Sorry about that Steve. Most folks ask for the dimensions between the holes, and not the hole size itself.

Best of luck with the bumper. Post up some pics when you get it on your jeep.

Frame Tie-In?

I credit Extreme Terrain for posting installation instructions. Installation instructions are often a good indicator of product engineering, quality, and often reflects whether a company cares about customer satisfaction. I like the photos and clear instructions even though there is a typo by skipping step 3 (goes from step 2 to step 4).

Based on the instructions, one concern I have with this bumper is no frame tie-ins. Without frame tie-ins, recovery yanks on the bumper's d-ring tabs or a recovery hook/d-ring in the hitch are placed only on the Jeep Wrangler's rear cross-member, not the frame itself. The stock rear recover hook is attached directly to the frame, not the rear cross-member for the reason the rear cross-member isn't engineered to withstand those types of forces. More expensive rear bumpers often include frame tie-in brackets so recovery-stresses are transferred to the frame rails.

For the money, it's hard to complain about this one since it looks good and if it's only used to carry an over-sized spare tire. I presume one could mock-up tie-in brackets and it would still be cheaper than the next one up the price-chain.

Ideally, wish we could get an inexpensive, made-entirely-in-the-USA, fully-functionally strong rear tire-carrier bumper. Though, I suppose that's unreasonable for Chinese-made money. Personally, I think I'll try waiting and saving a little more money to find one made by fellow-Americans...maybe the Warn bumper?

MiWranglers,

Thanks for your post! We're glad that you're a fan of the installation instructions. We try and give our customers the most information we can to help them decide what projects they want to tackle or not. Thanks for calling out the numbers in the instructions. That could definitely be confusing! I'm going to have my team make sure that the instructions are corrected. Good call out!

I see what you're saying with the frame tie-ins. We sell a bunch of different options when it comes to bumpers, so I'm sure we have one that will be better for recovery. Warn makes a really nice product, as well as the Rugged Ridge XHD that includes frame brackets. We'll definitely reach out to Barricade and see if they would consider offering frame brackets as an add-on to this bumper, which would alleviate everything that you're talking about! Thanks for the feedback!

As for where the different Bumpers are currently made... I think that with the frame tie-ins as an additional option on the Barricade Bumper, it would be a big hit. The quality of the bumper is really good, even if the products are sourced from all over and not entirely USA-made. In the meantime, let me know if you have any questions on the Warn bumper, which may be made in the USA (I can find out).

Hopefully this helps. Hit me up if you have any other questions at all. I'm here to help!

Ryan

The Barricade Bumper doesn't include protection for the E-sway bar on the JK's. You can easily fit one of the Skid Plates we have on the site to give you the protection you're looking for. Let me know if you have any other questions about the product or anything anything I can help you with!

I heard about this on November 1st. Ryan set me up with a Rugged Ridge XHD with a hoop. I ordered it Tuesday and got it on Friday. Mounted it today. Nice fit. Thanks again, Ryan!

No problem Rob, I'm still getting you sorted out with the rear bumper. I'll shoot you a PM a little later today.

I just took a walk out back to the JK that has the Barricade Bumper and Tire Carrier on it. There is a 35" spare on it now and I couldn't shake it hard enough to get a rattle out of it. I also talked to one of our guys who has this set up on his rig and he says it's quiet as well.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

I did too. Though I ordered it 9 days ago and just heard today it's out of stock saying it'll take maybe another 1-2 weeks before shipping. I'm growing a little impatient... (However I'm not feeling up to bolting it on with these lovely Cleveland snow storms)

Yeah online it says out of stock and I ordered it anyway.
All the others I liked were either to heavy, I would have to
buy lights for or were double the price.

Yeah I talked to XTRyan. I really liked this bumper but picked another
one from a different vendor but before I ordered it I won the Extreme
Terrain January sweepstakes and that paid for $250 of this bumper so
I thought I could wait for a little bit. If it goes past February I may switch
to different bumper. The other I like is $100 more and I would not be able
to use my oem fogs. There goes more money for KC lights.

The Extreme Terrian web site show the Barricaid bumper IN STOCK.
My account says shipping now on my order. I hope this is correct.

Was this concern in an earlier version and its been addressed? I think step 5 shows the frame tie-ins you are describing.

I'm leaning toward a set of these.
