I was looking at TJ/LJ instructions which appeared to connect bumper to rear cross member which can't endure much pulling force. I agree the JK model mounting appears to connect the bumper directly to the frame based on those instruction photos. I'm impressed with their instructions and with XTRyan's candid responses to poster's questions and comments.

I ordered the front and rear/tire carrier for my TJ.

They shipped last week, got the rear bumper and tire carrier today, but when I run the tracking number for the front bumper it still says the package has yet to be received at the ups facility, so I dunno where it is!

Guess I can't be in too much of a rush since my winch isn't here yet either.

I agree with the packaging. Quite different. But I was able to use it to keep from getting covered in snow during install so I can't complain.

So far I'm very happy with it

Mr Gigglz do you have a body lift? The space looks greater between the fenders
and bumper than in advertisement pics.

UPS officially updated saying mine would be delivered tomorrow, but they told me that on Friday and Saturday as well. Got my winch and winch cover in today and still waiting on my Warn power interrupt kit, thats supposed to be delivered Thursday. Hoping for a full install on Saturday.

No BL. Yet.
I have rugged ridge flat fender flares. They're about 2inches higher than stock. They also made installing the bumper a lot easier.

Depression is gonna set in.... just got a call from UPS wanting to confirm wether or not all my packages showed up. I told them I'm still missing one ( my front bumper ). They informed me it is lost and going under investigation. WTF does that mean?

That sucks. My bumper got delivered today, the packaging looks like I plan on hiding a dead body. There was some damage to the packaging on the edges so i looked over it and noticed a few places where the powder coating is scratched off, mainly on the corner edges. Kind of pisses me off, but at the same time, its not that big of a concern. Ill get a can of Rustoleum and cover it after I get it installed and will have plenty for any future scratches.

I got my bumper yesterday. I put it on today. I will try to get pictures tomorrow. It looks a little different. I was accidently shipped one they have not listed yet. It is a Barricade Heavy Duty Rock Crawler W/LEDs. I called and they were very helpful and got back to me quick. They explained what happened and gave me the option of returning it or keeping it. It is the same style but has LEDs. The kids love it and it is growing on me.

Yea, sure did. Very interesting packaging, not the best to say the least, pretty scratched up on the corners but Ryan at XT got me taken care of.

It'd be sweet if my missing in action bumper came with leds! Doubt it though since the TJ ones don't normally have lights in them at all

Can someone tell me the width of the trail force HD front bumper for the JK? It says it's a full width but doesn't look it.

I would call it a mid width. Once bolted on if you follow the angle
at the edge of the bumper up it is pointing to the corner of the
fender on a stock susspension.

that's what I thought. I was looking at a lot of different angles and it didn't look like it came all the way to the end. Thanks.

Just measured, from corner to corner, the Barricade bumper is 63 1/2" and my stock is 72 1/2" corner to corner.

Thanks. I would say mid width. The LOD armor lite mid width is 64" end to end

This is the new yet to be released Barricade Heavy Duty Rock Crawler bumper w/LEDs from Extreme Terrain. I installed it Tuesday and wired it tonight.
It came with 2 Y harnesses that plugged into the lights. I spliced into the factory fog light wires and it all works great. In the future they should shorten up the Y harnesses and add a plug to go direct into the factory harness.
I really like this bumper. It is a big chunk of steel out front and the bull bar has a nice angle to it. I would say the lights are brighter than the OEMs. I have seen people question
the wire method I used but everything seems to work fine.

I like that with the LEDs. Maybe they are gonna offer a TJ version with LEDs and mine was selected has a beta so they are putting them on.....

probably not but it makes me feel better thinking that than thinking ups lost my front bumper!

Ryan... Two questions...

1) Can you tell me how many connection points the rear bumper has?
2) What is the diameter of carrier's swing joint? (1".. 1 1/4..")

Thanks

1) There are a total of 8 bolts that hold that bumper on the Jeep.
2) The spindle is 1 5/8" in diameter.

(these are the specs for the JK rear bumper)

Let me know what other questions you have!

So I ordered a front and rear set yesterday. They were shipped in just a couple of hours. UPS shows delivery Tuesday. I'm sure my delivery guy will be thrilled that day to deliver 3 heavy boxes....

I noticed this skid plate today...

Barricade Wrangler Front Skid Plate - Textured Black J100163 (07-10 Wrangler JK) - Free Shipping | Free Shipping

Anyone try one of these? I would like to see pictures of this skid plate with a Trail force HD bumper. I assume they will work together?

If you are going to package stuff like that you should make it a trademark.
have Extreme Terrain printed in red on the black body bags.
