be careful where you wheel!!!!!!!

so the other day i had some time to waste, and saw a nice big open field covered in snow. at the end of the field was a hill that looked interesting, so i thought i would give it a shot. about half way up the hill i realized that it was a little to steep, so i backed back down. once at the bottom, i broke through the ice into a stream. the water was about half way up my tires and i was stuck. i walked to lowes where a saw a guy in a duely(sp?), and asked if he would give me a hand. he said yes and off we went. he pulled up about 15 feet from the jeep, we attached some tow straps and he started to pull. this is when we realized that i wasn't in a stream, but in a pond! that back half of his truck broke through the ice and now he was stuck. so he calls a freind of his to come pull him out. about seven hours later and a bent back bumper we are both free. i am having some after effects and you can read about that in the tj section.

Didn't you woder why the "field" was so flat? But that really sucks, at least you don't own a submarine that you can pick up in april when it thaws, same thing for the dually owner.

Scout, speaking of that, I picked up most of my supplies today to fab my tube fenders, now I get to be a cool kid too, we'll be able to swamp everyone with tube fender pics. It'll be hot. I'll even do a write up on the fab and build.

AD, I'm glad you, and the dully, got out relatively ok. As long as you learned your lesson, there is no need to harp at you about your actions... *snicker, snicker* yeah right

It may be a seasonal pond. It may not have been there when you went by in the summer.
