Been Sittin a while...

So while in the middle of a ton of mods, my TJ has been sitting idle for several months. I think the last time it was started was around the July mark.

Batteries are dead...gas has evaporated...

What steps should I do before starting again?

1 - charge batteries (am running dual setup)
2 - change oil
3 - change t-case oil
4 - axles are recently rebuild and actually don't have oil right now
5 - clean air filter
6 - gas it up
7 - ?
8 - ?
...

Still have a ton to do, but would like to be able to turn it around under its own power...(pushing uphill in my cul-de-sac sux!)

That's not that long really, I often have vehicles sitting that long or longer. Charge the battery, check the oil and water and go. If it's going to be sitting a lot longer before using it I would change the oil and filter, best to let it set with clean oil, acids build up in used oil and attack the bearings.

Yeah. My Dodge Ram set for more than a Year when I was over seas. It was fine. Needed a battery but I never changed out the tranny fluid or nothing. I changed the oil when I got home, but everything else was ok.

Can't wait to see the finished product there rockeater!
