Unhappy Best case scenario Im going to have to get rid of the TJ!

This has not been an easy decision and I can not help but look back at the past few years that I have had with my beloved TJ and it hurts to say that I now may be faced with the need to get rid of her.

I just got back from the long 4hr round trip deep into Mass where I test drove and ended up placing a deposit on a Unlimited Rubicon Sahara. My driveway just isnt big enough for two jeeps! (ok well maybe it is but my pockets sure as hell arent deep enough to keep two!). So the dealership just got the LJ in over the weekend and they havent even had a chance to inspect it yet..... but if all checks out ok I may have it by this weekend.

Well here she is.... #658 Sorry Im just a tad bit excited!

Now the search for a soft top begins!

Very nice. There's a very long and informative thread on JeepForum about the limited edition Sahara Rubicon.

Thanks for the comments guys. Trust me one of the 1st things that will be done once I get it home is starting the de-chroming process!

And to answer the question.....pretty much anything that can be swapped over mod wise will be swapped over. I still have a pretty decent pile of new and used aftermarket parts that wont fit but I will eventually put together a FS thread for that in the Classifieds.

Trust me if I could afford to do that I would be keeping the TJ. I have to slowly return it to semi stock and sell it to off set the price on the LJ.

But hey I dont blame you......it never hurts to ask.

Congratulations! I'm sure you'll love it! Went wheeling with a guy in an LJ this past weekend, and man that thing went everywhere..... That's a nice one you got there. Glad it worked out for you. Make sure you put that big ol' stinger on it, so you can see where the front is when you parallel park.

I can't wait to see it in person when you get back up here to VT to go wheeling with us. It's beautiful!

PM me a price list first - we have distinctly similar taste in mods. I know I'm in TX....but still.

I thought sahara's had body colored flares as well?

oh and Congrats you traitor! (I would too if I could figure out how.)

Nice looking Jeep!

So, is it a Rubicon or a Sahara? I didn't know you could get both packages...

Yup....plus the Rubicon suspension is an upgrade over stock for the 01 so its a win win.

Its both. It was a special limited run package offered in 05 and only 1000 were made. Each one even has a little badge saying what number it is out of the 1000.

Boy that's a nice machine! Tell me when you sell your TJ does the bug go with it? Out here the County gives shots for those critters!

Well let me know on your other parts that are TJ specific (other than the Diff covers, as I already have those).

The bug will prob stick around but since the LJ has much more room, he may have a few of his friends join him.

Will do but most of the parts that I wont be able to swap over are large-n-heavey thus not cheap to ship.
