ooh, and i thought the ben stein/evolution thread was dangerous. i like it. i gotta vote for a yj, so i like crafty's cuz thats about what i'm gonna do again. extremely capable off road, and still driven on road, and not crazy extreme. i love crazy extreme, and if i had more in budget i'd go that direction to. there's mine.

That is sweet of you, if we ever meet I owe you a hug for that one. I do love my Jeep. I would have to put some thought into my pick. We have many sweet rigs on here

What is the acceptance criteria? Biggest tires, paint color, posts? Who are the choices?

I think Mr.C put you up to this. How much is he paying you?

i think this is all opinion on what people like. i think we do need pics from people that want consideration. for instance, i think mrc's rig is insane, i have respect for that machine, i consider myself skillfull, but that thing is up there. but, just from a pic, it doesn't seem like a lot of jeep left, which is fine, and most will vote for that, and i can't blame them. i'd vote for something well rounded, still jeep, and very capable off road, thats why i voted crafty. if we were going best off road, then that's different, but if you follow ttc, you'd see you can't look at one and determine that. and i think mrc's belongs in ttc. great rig.

Thats why I choose Scout's jeep as well because it's perfect blend between Trail & DD machine.

How about a small requirement that they must actually wheel the jeep more than a few times a year

Thanks guys, I appreicate the vote.. If you like it now, you should really like it after this summer. Getting bigger axles, an LT1, 42" TSL's and will be getting rid of the frame and stretching the wheelbase to 115" and 14" King Coils on all 4 corners.

Will be simular to Mr Cliffords.

I also Vote for Clifford.

Instead of one best jeep on the forum, we could vote on jeep of the month. Then at the end of the year we do jeep of the Year. Then take each of the winners and make a calender with all of the past years winners!

Fixed it fer ya! Sorry Scout, couldn't help myself! Worst part is, yours probably sees more miles per year than mine!

Another one that needs mentioned is Jerry Bransford, not beastly, but very capable and it sounds pretty bulletproof!
