Bestop Trektop NX

So I might have gotten a bit excited today and bought one in anticipation of the springtime. Seems like it has good reviews and can't wait to get it! How do others like it? Any issues?

I love mine! I never go completely topless as skin cancer runs in the family. With the NX I don't have those darn corner panels flapping in the wind. And it looks awesome on a wrangler!

Do they even make other soft tops?

I got mine because with the kid in the back she will always have shade. I still keep a thing of sun screen for her in the console but having the shade above her head helps a lot.

I thought the Trektop only came in one type of fabric. Their website says

"Our best multi-layer premium fabric maintains its shape in all temperatures, is mildew-resistant, contains UV inhibitors. "

No fabric options on their site. But I could be missing something.

I think it is the same fabric, just different colors. Black, black diamond, and spice if I remember right....

Trektop nx ???

I have a '02 w/full hard doors needing a new top. Love the feature Trektop nx sunrider sunroof.
How does the top secure when open to prevent it from jumping around? How water proof is the top in general?
Is it noisey?
Will more water enter the rear because of the slant?
Are there other recommendations for a new top?
Thanks for all ideas.

I can't answer the sunrider questions as I don't use that feature.
l it is just as loud as any other soft top. I have had no issues with leaking from the top it's self. ( My leaks come from the element doors blah) Over all I am very very happy with my Trektop NX

This is the quietest soft top due to the thick sail cloth and its tight fit. Yes it is louder than a hard top, but there is little to no flappage or anything like that. You wont be able to do an initial install on a cold cloudy day. It is that tight. As for the sun rider feature, when you fold the top back, it just sits there. No need for anything to hold it. I have been up to 80 with it folded back and it wasn't going anywhere.
As for being water proof, I have had zero problems and that is going through a touch free wash. The slant makes the water roll off the back, the inside stays dry. I don't recommend anything else, best top money can buy.

I finally installed it the other day after I sold my hardtop. I love it and it's already been through a midwest tornadic thunderstorm with not a drip inside for a leak. I love it!

Try unzipping the side windows and unhooking them. Zip them just a couple of inches, then start both sides of the rear window, then hook the side windows and zip them all up. I thought mine wasn't going to fit at all until we tried doing exactly that.
