Better choice for 2-door Rubi, '06 TJ or '07-'08 JK?

Our family has a new JK Rubi 4-door which we love and will use mostly as a daily use vehicle.

We are considering buying a used 2-door Wrangler Rubicon for rougher duty than we are inclined to subject our brand new Unlimited to.

Is there clearly a better choice between a 2-door 2006 TJ Rubi vs. an older JK Rubi (perhaps 2007 or 2008)? Which would you prefer and why?
