BFGs are going are up in price

I was trying to find dealer that had a B. F. Goodrich 33x12.50 AT on an 15 inch rim, only to find out what a bitch is was to locate it. A dealership finally told me that BFG is transferring all of their tires to metric and will be charging some more cash to redo the lettering on the tires. Thats a bit of BS to me.

Hopefully they were just full of shit...but if not, I will spend the extra money on a new set of 5 tires instead of 4 BFGs, just to keep the matching spare.

That's why I don't buy BFG's. I just buy the cheapest nobbiest tire I can find, because if you think about it, spending all that money on tires if you're using your rig as a daily driver is kind of goofy. If you get some awesome Dick Cepek mudders on your rig and only drive it to the grocery store, or to work then you're short changing yourself. Those are tires you get for hardcore stuff. For me, the General Grabber A/T2's are just as good as the BFG's and cheaper to replace.

I just bought a set of BFG's from this store on EBAY, RimzOneOnline. Only took 5 days to get them, coast to coast.

Tire rack shows the BFG AT KO 33x12.5 R15 at $161. plus shipping. BJs has them for $187 installed. I like the BFG because of the 3-ply sidewall. The GY Wranglers that came stock on my YJ long, long ago, blew out a sidewall on the highway after a day of gentle offroading in the Shenandoah. They had 25k on them. Replaced them with the BFG AT and 65K later got another set of BFG AT KO. I've been pleased with their durability and performance, but they aren't the cheapest tires around.

BFG,
cheap? no.
long lasting? yes.
decent ride? yes
quiet ride? yes
durable? yes
road manners/handling? fantastic

Personally I think the BFG AT TA KO is a fantastic tire for the DD jeeper. (as long as you aren't playing in the mud.)

By no means is it the only good option out there, but it is a very good tire.

- notice - My opinion is worth what you paid for it.
