the vinyl is basically a sticker so it's real easy. you just have to clean the hood really well and get it on straight. a sign or body shop could make one for you. if i wanted a black hood without the decal i would look for a complete hood to buy.

You can check with a company that does vinyl car and truck wraps. For a piece that small they may install it, too, for next to nothing.
You kids are probably saying to yourself, "Now, I'm gonna go out, and I'm gonna get the world by the tail, and wrap it around and put it in my pocket!!" Well, I'm here to tell you that you're probably gonna find out, as you go out there, that you're not gonna amount to Jack Squat!!" You're gonna end up eating a steady diet of government cheese, and living in a van down by the river!
We have the same bumper and flares on our JK, but we cut the bumper down to just about mid length... It's still a work in progress, gotta fix the Warn winch we got for it last weekend, and get the shackle mounts welded on in place of the hooks....
You could always pay a body shop a couple hundred to paint it flat black for ya. Notice they painted part of the windshield frame, and painted the mirrors the same color as the jeep. all these things will add in to make it a similar look, chances are that it looked silly with just the hood covered.
Random Guy: "Is there anywhere that thing cant go?"
