Brakes

My 2000 Sport's PO replaced the pads and rotors about 3000 miles ago. The brakes still suck. They stop the car, but it's nothing like our other ride (Lexus IS). Nearest thing I can relate the feeling to is my son-in-law's F150. I'm told that this is "normal". The hydraulics are OK, the brake fluid was changed, and the system bled.

I don't expect it to stop like a 2500-pound performance sedan, but I'd like something better than "white-knuckle stops".

Who makes the best aftermarket pads ? And are there any other options, like oversize rotors ? (I hope not, because those would be $$$.)

Thanks... PeteH

Those are great but expensive, so try the EBC(Yellowstuff brake pads for trucks and their 3GD rotors) route first, but it does suck that you just/already bought pads and rotors though
