Hey all. Just bought a new 2013 jku. Less than 400 miles on it so far. Everytime I drive there is a hot break smell from the back tires. Is this normal breaking in period. I would think by 350 it should have burned any oil or protective grease off. Any ideas?

Realized the typo in the title. Sent from my phone. Dang autocorrect

There shouldn't be a brake smell at all. Get it checked out. If you keep driving it like that you can glaze the pads over and lose braking power. It's either the e-brake sticking or something wrong with the calipers.

Made an appointment. Guy didnt seem very concerned and acted like I might be crazy. Also he said it could be the catalytic converter breaking in. Seems a odd to me when it's going on 400 miles

My jeep had a lot of smells when new. Took about 500 to 1k miles for it to settle down
