broke again

As most of you know I was at Paragon on Sat.....just went to show support for their recent land fight and was unable to enjoy a day on the trails because of work obligations.

I had the Jeep in 4low because of the amount of snow/ice.....as I was shifting back to 2high the sticks came loose and were "floating" When Frank installed it last year, his one complaint was that the attatchment bracket appeared weak and his plans were to reinforce it....well, it just got moved up on the "to do" list Nothing like breaking your Jeep in the parking lot

Frank crawled around under the Jeep, after several attempts was unable to engage the rear and he ended up getting the front engaged and held in place with a pair of vice grips. Made it home without a problem.

I'm parking my "baby" until he can her fixed properly...... 18 degrees in Jersey, everyone hope for warmer weather so my driveway mechanic can get to work on it without suffering frost bite.

Yeah I noticed a LOT of breakage today at Paragon. The ice claimed many a driveshaft today.

Kat,

Skyjacker and Novak both make TCase Shifter linkage replacement setup that takes the linkage off of the body and mounts it directly to the TCase/Tranny. Have the hubby take a look at either of those because it will fix you right up.

sorry to hear about the bracket... I had a guy in a group I was leading bust either the same thing or maybe it was something in the case itself.. either way we had to use two jeeps with straps to pull him up the long hill climb to get him out. Thus if I had to have an issue I would want it in the parking lot vs the trail!

That stinks Kat, and not even a good story to go with it. Add some sort of chase in the parking lot; a big grizzly or pack of wolves..... or squirrels, a huge pack of rabid squirrels chasing Frank and forcing you to drive crazy in the parking lot, and lightening causing a downed tree and rocks, big big rocks falling from an overhang and..... then it won't seem so parking lot-ish. (it's early, what can I say )
