I have been looking into tube fenders, and I'm thinking my best bet is Blue Torch FabWorks DIY front fenders.
Anyone done these? What needs to be done to them? Anyone got pics of how they go together and what needs to be welded? Anyone got these on their Jeep? How they look? Thanks guys
Also, anyone have the rears from BTF as well? How do they look? Thanks everyone
OK, makes more sense now. Is it a pretty difficult install? Anyone know if there's a write-up on it so I can better understand how it all goes together? Thanks mr4x4
I have a version of those DIY BTF fenders. They were easy to install. Would have been easier if you have an extra set of hands. Tacking everything in place really sucks by yourself. They were pretty simple to install otherwise. Everything is self explanatory once you have all the pieces in front of you.
The hardest part is mounting all the stock stuff to your new fenders. The PDC, windshield washer bottle, horns, cruise, and all that other crap has to get mounted back on there. Welding up the fenders is easy compared to mounting all the stock stuff.
Having installed both I would say the BTF kit is much easier to deal with. Cutting the inner fender and attaching it to the PSC kit isn't exactly a walk in the park. I believe the BTF kit looks like an upgrade over the PSC kit looking like you cobbled something together.
My problem is i want to get tube fenders but my drivers side inner fender is shot so i need to either by a set of tubes that replace the hole thing or buy new inner fenders.
I think tnt replaces the inner fender but im not sure other than that im lost
I will have to take specific pictures to get them all in there. I'm lucky that I don't have any of the extras that a stocker jeep has. I ditched the windshield washer bottle, horn, and I never had cruise.
Here is where I mounted my full hydro reservoir. You can get an idea of how little real estate you have with the BTF fenders.
