Bull Bar?????

Sorry if I'm in the wrong forum, just need some input from people that know Jeeps and BULL bars. I live in southern Ontario and go hunting in north and central Ontario. I know of several people hitting deer and this year came this close.../ / to hitting one in my Wrangler Sahara Unltd (2011). I'm thinking about installing a Bull bar as every person I know that has collided with bambi ends up with at least $1000 in repairs. So would installing one of these gems make me happy happy? By the way, I've only had the Jeep for the last year and it's the best. I've pulled my quad, with 2 other guys, gear fully loaded to the roof, into camp on a trail that would be considered ROUGH for hiking. ICE on top of almost a foot of water, THICK mud under that, tree branches, ROCKS and all in 4 HIGH. My small quad had some difficulty pulling it's own trailer down the same trail. Thanks for any and all input.BB

So are you looking for something simple as a hoop? If so the Maxximus 3 hoop is pretty strong and not too expensive. They are a sponsor on here, so click their link. Here is mine.

Oh, and I got mine after seeing it on here. I didn't want a bumper yet. So when I damage the bumper, I will do something else.

Check out the Rampage Recovery Front Bumper. It's super strong and reasonably priced.

I just installed a barricade rock crawler and was very satisfied. Comes winch mount ready, comes with tow hooks, has tabs on the bar for aftermarket lights, and has holes for the stock fog lights. I like the rake on the bull bar and it was under $400.

That looks good! I have my eye on one of these as well, how many light tabs are on the bull bar?

There are two on top, about 15" apart. I just ordered a light bar for it and for the hood. They are at extremeterrain if you're interested. I also got the matching rear bumper with tire carrier. They are similar to I believe the smittybilt xrc but much cheaper.

I found a few online for fairly cheap but I am not sure what years will fit it says it is a 2010-2012 will this fit or not? Sorry if I sound stupid y'all I am a former streetbikes and tuner guy turned off-road. Thank you for the help!!!

I'm glad you like the Barricade Bumpers on your Jeep! You can beat the quality for the price. We're working hard to get them back in stock at the end of the month, and keep them in stock from then on.

If anyone has any questions about any of the Barricade stuff or anything else we carry on the site, feel free to PM me. And course PM me before purchasing so I can get you the best possible pricing!

I'm actually looking for the same thing. I have a standard bumper with fog lights on my 2012 4 door. Was hoping to find a simple Bull Bar/Hoop that would attach to the factory bumper, this possible?? Looking for something like this, but obviously this only attaches to an aftermarket bumper I'm assuming...

Glad I did a search on here and found your post. How is the bumper holding up? I was just going to add a winch plate to my stock bumper, but since I saw this for the price, I don't think you can beat it. How is the finish holding up and how does it affect airbag deployment, if at all? Thanks.

If the OP's main motivation in installing a bull bar is deer protection, I'd look at the tallest bars avail or look to a full grille guard.

You don't want a lower bull bar potentially deflecting the deer carcass up and over the leading edge of the hood and having Bambi wind up in your lap...
