Buying First Car Unsure what to do.

So don't really know how to start this so a bit about me.

I am 19, currently in Uni at Tampa, I own a business and because of that need to travel quite a bit for my clients. I have wanted a Jeep as my first car (especially in college) since 7.

I drive long distances, from NY to Canada, MA, FL, Cali etc... I like to travel a lot. I have always wanted a Jeep, its fucking sexy and an amazing car, have driven it a couple times honestly I love it.

With that said, I hear for long distances it isn't the perfect car. However, I am in college, will be probably getting a 4dr so I can fit friends in, I go to the beach weekly. How bad is the gas (is it as bad as I hear)? I right now have an Acura. Although I really want this car, do you think it is in my best interest to stick with the Acura or what?

With that said, what model should I get. I want Sahara but does getting a Wrangler Sports Unlimited suffice for my needs? I probably will not be going off road as much as other Jeep drivers (of course I will at times) but yea. I just need to know if this is a good every day car?

I can't really express what I need well but I hope some of you have had this dilema and can help me. I appreciate it!

Gas mileage sucks, yes it is as bad as they say it is, but supposedly, the 3.8 gets better than the older 3.6 motors. I suggest that you go to a dealer and test drive one, that way you can determine if it is going to meet your needs. See if you can find a dealer that will let you keep for a couple of days. Or, you can go rent one for a few days. No one, except you, is going to know if the jeep will fit your needs.

Keep the Acura for travel. Then buy an older wrangler to play with on the weekends.

bbtj you got that mixed up. The new 3.6 gets better mileage than the old 3.8. Assuming your Acura is a car, no wrangler is going to be anywhere close to it in gas mileage. Your fuel cost will increase dramatically.
