Buying first Jeep

Looking at a '94 TJ as my first jeep and they say it has a slight leak in the rear end and that is 'normal' for older jeeps. True or false? What exactly does that mean if you can know without more details?? Thank you

A 94' YJ is what i think you meant... hah. by rear end, they mean the rear differential? behind the oil pan? transmission? Seals regularly wear out, but i cant really help you answer my questions!

I'm just a shade tree DIY and don't know that much about the TJ, but as far as I'm concerned, if its leaking, someplace needs fixing.
