Buying used jeep

What should one look for when buying a used jeep,95-02 year models,what are known problems with these year models.

Not sure of any problems but I would look for rust.

In the years you mentioned there are two different model Jeep Wranglers made. The YJ 1987-1996 (leaf spring suspension) and the TJ 1997-2006 (coil spring suspension). They can also be identified by the headlights, YJ will have square/rectangular headlamps and the TJ will have the traditional Jeep round headlamps.

I would do some research and find out which model you are more interested in and then continue your search by year.

Mike, I don't think there was a Wrangler made in 1996

Yep, you're right. My bad, I just went back a year from where the TJs were started and forgot they did not make any in 1996.

they were still built in '96 but all listed as 95 model year

what price range are you looking at?
