Cain wrenches Baby...

Yes, it's true. Ccain wrenched on my jeep... and OMG it was an adventure. I had a Skid Row oilpan and tranny skid sitting in my garage forever but since we're looking at wheeling soon I wanted that wanked oilpan protected a bit.

And normally I would wrench myself but Chris just slapped an altenator into his car so quick I figured what the heck.

Now, we're staying with relatives at the moment so I didn't have my floor jack or jack stands. This little glitch made for an interesting evening. The skid went on easy until we had to drill into belly pan. There was no room under Baby to get the drill under it. Well, we jacked the jeep up from the side with the hi-lift. Not high enough. Bottle jack under the diff. Not high enough. We backed it down the driveway and tried to see if the dip of the gutter would work. Nope.

Well, across from the condo is a guest parking place with a railroad tie at the head. So...... bright idea... I pulled the front tires up onto the RR tie and then... yes we did... in pitch black night we jacked the jeep up off that railroad tie and FINALLY it was high enough.

So, the skid is on and we are ready to wheel Big Bear.

And YES.... I let Chris wrench my jeep... but he was bossy and I don't like being a gopher so I'm turning the wrenches next time.

I gotta admit, it's a really nice skid and went on easy...as it could with the wrong tools. Chris only strung together a few choice words in front of my nephew.

I really like the skid and it gets rid of the cross member on the tranny skid that catches the driveshaft when I'm flexed out. And it was really fun to wrench with Chris. Looking forward to the next time.

Hey pointy... If the "Mexican Midget" you're referring to is the little guy in the pic... That is Tiny's nephew and he's actually part Indian! And he's such a good kid and was helping us wrench! Not cool man! Not cool!

Tiny, this is/was not a racial slam. I was not mean spirited.

Cain, I do not have a problem with races. I am part mexican myself, as if that has to do with anything. Mexican is not a bad word its a race.

I have no idea how this went this direction.

OK-OK... We need to lighten this thing up a bit! Sorry if I took it the wrong way and sorry the thread seemed to twist in direction! It's all good on my end.

I guess what I should have said to your original post was:

I'm NOT!!! I'm a short, fat, drunk, Irish bastard!

When I installed my Skid Row, I didn't have to drill anything. It just bolted on. Why did you have to drill to install it?

Because the instructions said so. Had to drill the tranny pan. I don't have a belly up yet, that might be it.

Now you are definitely a real wheeler. Fawk fixin the oil pan as long as it still works. Just find something to cover it up.

Nice work peeps. Of course I know why you had problems with the drill. It's because you weren't wrenchin in your CROCS. Always does the trick for me. And mowin the yard, and drinking beers. They are an all around good shoe.

I thought CROCS were banned or something?

Sad thing is, I have the oil pan and the gasket... but no desire to remove all the crap I have to take off to get to the wanked one. Screw it for now. And speaking of Crocs...... where da bling pics you promised me?? I believe I am owed.

That's definitely when you know you are a true wheeler.

I took them and gave them to you didn't I?

I don't care what any of you say. I love my crocs and I'm not ashamed of them.
