can you paint polyurethane bushings?

as the title suggests, i was wondering if you can paint polyurethane bushing. i got new shocks the other day and painted them black, but the bushings are red. i like to color cordinate.

If you have any old bushings I would try it on those first to make sure the chemicals in the paint do not react with the polyurethane, but I would also think that the bushing when flexed might just pop the paint off anyway.
I really do not know I am just thinking out loud

You could be like Scout, and have splashes of red, under there. You know, to match your out fits.......

Back on topic here....I really don't think paint will adhere. If it does at first it won't last, then it will look even worse. If it bothers you that much, just get new bushings.
