Cool cell phone charger

I have 2001 jeep wrangler 6 cylinder. How can I keep power to my cigarette lighter cell phone charger adapter when Jeep is off?

connect the cig lighters + cable directly to the battery (with a 20A fuse in the cable).

i did the same because i have an electric refrigerator box that needs power all the time.
but take care that nothing is connected to the cig lighter that can empty the battery over the night.

The second one is located at your local auto parts store. About 10 bucks.

You have a 99. 99's did not come with two of them.

Mine is 2001 . Compshooter, I can add a second lighter adapter that stays hot constantly? Also, will the cell phone kill the battery overnight? Thanks for help

Hard wire the charger in, behind the dash, run two wires to the battery or PDC, put a 3 or 5 amp fuse in there, leave the pigtail for the charger sticking out about a foot. Then go pick up a VSM or Vehicle Specific Mount, I have them in all the jeeps except the ZJ we just picked up. If your cell phone has a hang up cup offered for it you can even mount that there and most of the hang up cups are powered which means they charge while in the cradle. If your phone has bluetooth capability it is also a good time to go look at bluetooth head units that put your phone calls over the sound system. I've had a bluetooth head unit for about 3 years and would not consider buying a head unit without it.

Yes, find a place to mount it, than as Rich said, run the hot lead to your battery with an inline fuse or to a secondary fuse block. Other wire to ground. Cell phone should not drain battery (I don't have one) but I have left my CB on for a week and the Jeep started right up. They do not draw much juice.

Or you can mod your lighter relay so it won't shut off the outlet when the key is off.

I did this on my 99 tj and it has worked great ever since.

Mine is always on. I leave my phone on the charger in the Jeep all night.
