I'm moving my fog lights to the center of the front bumper to make it look "less" stock like. (till I decide what bumpers to buy). The extension wires were 30something bucks.

I'd have to say the velcro I bought to keep my rear seat belts from flapping in the wind. I bought velcro with an adhesive side to it, stuck them together, now I have a velcro "strap" that I can hold the seatbelt to the roll bar. No more flapping!

If you look close you can see them here: (old pic)

I think it cost about $ 10.00 total.

Psssst, Scout, your jeep piddled on your driveway.

Good idea with the velcro. I've been trying to figure out a way to stop the rear seat belt flap, while the belts were in use. I'll have to play with some velcro and see what I can do, short of velcroing the kids to the roll bar.

Hey Tripod, How high and what type of lift do you have? And what size tires are those?

I did something similar to Velcro. I bought a pair of those cheap & worthless grab handles and used those on the flapping belts. I think they were $9.95.

I used a Black Sharpie pen to touch up my black hardtop, were it was chipped a little at the edge.

Best for the Money was replacing the stock headlights with Sylvania Silverstars. About $20 each and a big difference over stock.

4" SA lift with 3/4" spacers front and rear. Tires are 315/75/R16's. That's an old pic and I can't remember if I had the 3/4" spacers installed when that photo was taken?!?!

I have been looking at that size tire, but have not seen them mounted on the stock Rubi wheels. I like 'em! My girlfriend went to Odessa High. Any good wheeling out there?

Maplight:

I haven't tried the one available from Stein Air. I have a maplight from Airkit with two red/two white LEDs. Works well.

If I were to buy one again, it would be the all red LED's.

The best wheelin I've found here is my driveway. *snicker*. Nope, as far as I know there isn't a good "legal" place around here. At least not one that I've been able to find yet.

Small world huh! When did she graduate?

Class of '79. We are probably 10 or so years older than you.

There are a lot of people around DFW that we know that are from the Midland/Odessa area. Must be a good place to be from.

Yeah, I'd say it's more like a great place to leave. Your DFW friends are just smarter than me.

Here's one: the restrictive factory airbox fix. you know that airhorn that turns up and sit's so close to the hood and only has an ~ 1 1/4" intake hole for air? My solution was to pop that out of the box and cut the horn off about 1/2 inch from where it enters the box, and then cut a piece of metal screen (like for a screen door) round and very close to the inside diameter of the horn, popped it in and siliconed it in place to keep out debris. Looks factory, flows a lot more air, and it cost less than $2.

I was walking through my favorite scrap metal yard and saw a piece of 1.5" alum. shaft and thought that would be perfect to put my seat back where it goes. So off to the hardware store and back to the shop I go with my aluminum shaft. I cut them down and milled them all to 1 1/4" and painted them black.

Here is what I come out with for 12 bucks.

Before LIft Kit

After Lift Kit

The Jeep now feels more normal to drive and visibility is better over the hood. By far one of the best 12 bucks I have spent on the Jeep.
