For the price of a sawzall blade I chopped my front bumper up a little. Made it shorter and angled the ends.

Something like this....

-The only free/cheap mods I have done so far is to drill out the crappy stock plastic bolts that hold the shifter boot assembly together. I HAD to do this because the dealer broke mine while fixing my clutch. They tried to fix it with super glue, which lasted a day. A little drilling, and a few little bolts and nuts, and I think it gives it a little more personality.
-I used some low profile high streingth velcro to secure the ipod next to the deck.

Im thinking of a way to modify my softtop upper doors to fit in my new hardtop. They are pointed on the corners of course, and the door pockets are rounded.

There is more than enough metal there in the frame to remove the canvas, cut and arch the metal, spot weld it back in place (now with an arch instead of a point...) then fold or trim the canvas to fit back over the framing.

Might take a little while, but hey, I could save a ton of $$$ and run with these until I can find me a set of full doors.

Anyone done this before???

I made a "trunk" just to keep things from blowing out with the top down. It needs some clean up work, but its secured in I made it with a peice of 1/2" plywood, covered it with a mat that was on the garage floor and tied it down with i-hooks from work

I like IN plates, they are neat. don't think I've ever noticed them before. Oh and nice lawn. wish mine looked like that. First year in the new house, PO didn't take care of lawn, so its infested with all breeds of weeds.

Thanks MrCC... These plates are an option. Regular issue plates are just blue with white numbers/letters. Boring.... True Green will fix up those weeds easy...

and here are all the parts you need for it

and all you have to do is replace the bolt at the bottom of your sway bar links with the pin. it cost me under 10 dollars
I saw this idea years ago and used the basis of it to come up with an "improved" version. Buy a shock mount stud (Shock Mount Studs) and drill a hole in the end of the stud and install in the lower sway mount attach point. Slide the sway bar link over the stud and secure in place with the pin. I started out with the same pin you have, but found it wasn't up to the task and bent easily. I upgraded to a heavier, spring loaded clip type.

I'm a Jeep newbie. Currently saving and shopping for my first Jeep. So, you have to disconnect the front swaybar to go off road?

No you don't have to disconnect to go offroad, you get more flexibility if you do, but is not at all required or necessary.
