Cheap Mirrors for no doors >$5

I took my doors off for the 1st time last week and driving w/o side mirrors is *$&%ing stupid when you're on the highway doing 70.

So I went the NAPA and picked up two small stick on mirrors.

I only drove home from NAPA so I don't have a full report as of yet but they do a good job at letting me see my sides w/o having to turn around.

Weather looks good for the morning so I'll have more later.

IIRC my total bill for both mirrors was $3.69.

Check your own state law but in FL all you need is "A" mirror.

2006 Florida Statutes

Title XXIII
MOTOR VEHICLES

Chapter 316
STATE UNIFORM TRAFFIC CONTROL

316.294 Mirrors.--Every vehicle, operated singly or when towing any other vehicle, shall be equipped with a mirror so located as to reflect to the driver a view of the highway for a distance of at least 200 feet to the rear of the motor vehicle. A violation of this section is a noncriminal traffic infraction, punishable as a nonmoving violation as provided in chapter 318.

Driving in to work this morning I found that where they were mounted only gave me a limited field of view. The car in the other lane had to be along side in order for me to see it in the mirror.

I stuck them onto the vents to see if that helps.

Also, the reason I put these on wasn't to really use them as like normal mirrors but just to have something I can glance at to check my blindspots now and then.

I do turn my head when changing lanes and don't rely on just my mirrors.
