Cheap sound system?

I'm looking for some cheapish speakers that sound decent (better then the stock ones), and a cheap way to make sure they don't get stolen. Any suggestions?

Looking to spend under $100 on the speakers.

100 for one set or two? If one. I'm a huge fan of JL.

Watch ebay, crutchfield's clearance section.

Yeah, for $100 on a set of speakers, you can do pretty well...I wouldn't worry bout the speakers being stolen. Most car thieves won't steal speakers...especially if they're covered under the stock grills and don't appear to be anything special.

Subs, amps, and headunits are what you'll want to worry about...

i have a cheap set of pioneers in the back of mine that i made boxes for and zip tied them to the roll cage on my YJ in the back... not amazing sound but i can hear it when i crank it up even with the soft top down and the doors off so it works well enough for me
There's no replacement for displacement.
