Cheapest tube fenders

After paying as much in upgrades as I paid for the vehicle....I've decided to try cheaper options... I really like metal cloak overline fenders - but that's getting pricey too.
What are the cheapest options for tube fenders? Or in the meantime what can I trim to make the room for 35s with 4" lift?

If u are looking for metal, the cheapest Ive seen were smittybilt. I do not have experience with them, but Ive heard that the fit of their products can be pretty poor. If you are open to other ideas, look into the Modern Classic Enterprise flat fenders. They are made out of ABS and pretty cheap. I have them and have been very happy with them. Here is a pic

I kept the stock fenders, and trimmed them so that they had more of a high-clearance, "flat" look to them. I dont have a pic of them tho I dont think. If you look around the forum a little I know others have trimmed the rears (and fronts also)

Pavement Ends will be offering square tube bumpers in a month or so. It looks like they will be among the cheapest out there.

Speaking of those metalcloak fenders, how come Ive never heard of mention on this forum? I think they are the coolest thing Ive ever seen. I saw them for the 1st time at camp jeep in 07 and the guy that had them said they were from REV111, which after countless hours of research I found that is now Metalcloak. Any one have some?

It was actually pretty straight forward. I took my time on the first side, so I could get a feel for what I was doing. The other side went smooth since I figured out everything on the first side. With the fenders and lights all at the same time, it only took a few hours. I think that day I spent like 6 hours putting on those fenders and adding a BL.

thanks. I love those fenders. I've read plenty of post/threads about 'em. Seems pretty simple install.

It really is...

They give you a template for how to cut the top of the fender, you trace it on to your fender and cut it. Then you cut down the side of your fender (you may have to measure it...I eyeballed mine and it worked out fine). Then you lay your new top piece on, drill a couple holes in what is remaining of your stock fender, use some push pin things to hold it on along with some metal screws. Then fit on the lower piece with an auto tape they give you. Jerry Bransford's write up helps out a lot along with MCE's instructions.

I guess you're right....bumpers do fend off the rocks, and fenders do occasionally bump random stuff.....
