Exclamation CJ Buying advice

Hi,

I might be buying a cj soon.
It's a 83 cj7 with a 258,t-150 transmission, dana 20, no tub or seats, and it runs. for 400 obo

I was planning on trying to figure out how to make the motor run on my 73 cj5 then I was planning on giving away the body to then put a platform on it.: ( click )
This already runs and is missing most of the body , So what do you all think?

Thanks,
-Matt

isnt the CJ-7 loger than the 5? I would just use the CJ-7 as the starting place to build your platform and do something completely different with the 5

the cj7 is longer but the length difference doesnt matter as it's only going to see mud. I think I am going to start with the cj7 b/c the cj5 isnt running and I dont think I have enough experience to get it running ( or know anyone that does)

Is the t-150 a weak transmission?

How much $$ should I offer?
