We have a 1989 Jeep that received a new clutch last fall. It won't hold clutch pressure. We bled it a few times and replaced the master cylinder but it loses pressure after about 8 to 10 shifts. Any advice on what we can try next would be appreciated.
Thanks, Penni |

Your hydraulic slave cylinder, for the clutch, probably needs to be replaced.

Is this something we can do on our own or do we need to take it in?
Thanks, Penni |

It all depends on your comfort level. I believe the one on your Jeep is fairly accessible, but it again depends on your level of experience. Usually, when the hydraulic slave cylinder malfunctions, you will see some fluid under your vehicle when parked for any length of time. It is not that expensive of a part, but it will cost you double to have someone install it for you.
