Coilovers???

I have been reading and hearing about coilovers? What exactly are coilovers? what are the advantages and disadvantages of them? Can you put them on anything jeep? Does anyone run coilovers? Any one got any pics of a jeep set up on coilovers? One more thing to add to the never ending list of questions who makes them and how do they go on and what do they replace if anything?

Hey Wes, how ya doing? You have seen my YJ, and the reason I went with the coilovers, is because it does give you much better articulation, and more strength than a stand alone coil. Regular coils tend to sag after a while, and that is the down side to them. I purchased my kit through Rock Krawler, and am very happy with the lift, and articulation, I got with it. It gave me a very stable 8" lift, and also allowed me to strecth out the wheel base. Plus I got the four link rear suspension, that does away with the rear track bar.

Another good example is Hackles Jeep......check it out.

mud rocks or what??

Prices have come down a lot, you can do all four corners for about what it used to cost, for one.
