atleast thats what the information panel on my wifes grand cherokee keeps saying even though it was replaced and jeep is runnign fine. Actually it ran fine before i replaced the sensor but it keeps saying bad sensor. The wires for the unit all look fine, nothing blackened or crusty.
any help would be great.
thanks
The Coolant Sensor Bad Message indicates a bad Coolant Level Sensor, a bad Vehicle Information Center (VIC) or an open in the wiring.
The Coolant Level Sensor resistance is 3.3K ohms. If you check it at the sensor and the VIC connector, you will be able to determine if it is the sensor or the wiring.
