Hi,
I went wheeling today and got a couple small cracks in my windshield. I was wondering if any of you knew what I could do to stop the cracks from spreading.(i remember someone one explaining to me how a while back but cant remember)

Well Thanks in advance for ANY help!

I would think you run the risk of getting pulled over/ticket driving it on the road in that condition (maybe just in Jersey :D ). Just get a new windshield.

I replaced mine a couple of yrs ago.....about 220$ if I remember correctly. I have a "new" verticle crack near the rear view mirror, from last month.

What happened to your windshield wiper? Just fold the windshield down, then you wouldn't have to look through your windshield.

As long as you've got that other sticker on there, nothing will save it, you've angered the jeep gods. Just replace the whole thing and put a proper WF sticker on and all will be right in the jeep world.

I have the knowledge of glass repair. You need to replace it. Rule of thumb says if the crack is longer than a dollar bill it needs to be replaced. The equipment I use to repair chips uses a lot of pressure, cracks are a lot harder. Nail polish or tape will only show that you used nail polish or tape as you watch it spread. Check your insurance. Many, like SC, replace for free. I just got mine replaced while I wait for the next rock to find it.

Man Lost, I hope that was a good time doing that bro? To me it kind of looks like a strap might've broke pulling you out of some of that mud. :D

Oh, don't you see the crack has already stopped? It's hit both the top and bottom along with both sides of the frame. It's not going any further. :D :D :D

That's why I love the free glass replacement on my insurance. :D

ding ding ding.

I was waiting for someone to say that.

This is another example why you shouldn't snatch(even if your just doing little tugs) with anything but a recovery/snatch strap.

I've found orange flavored Hubba-Bubba or regular old Bazooka work best in the sticky-ness department. :D
Thanks! Im going to try that out today

also thanks to everybody that thought I was serious and had serious answers.
