Exclamation D44 bearing removal help

How do I remove the axle shaft bearing on my rear dana44? is there a special tool or method?

Yes you need a press to press it on and off. If you are replacing the bearing you can use a grinder to slot it then use a chisel to snap it in half and off. You will still need a press to put the new one on.

Im reusing the bearing. pressing it on seem simple but how do i press it off?

I have no idea???
For the cost of a new bearing it might be easier to just cut it off and get a new one???

A new bearing is like $5-6. Tear out the old and put in a new.

a new bearing and bearing retainer ring is like $50 you have to cut the old bearing off and if you are doing that you might as well put a new seal on which is like $6
