Dana 44 rear locker install

Ok, so i got the locker in, took apart my rear 44 and found out i had the trak lok carrier. So off to dans drive line to get a new one that will work with the lunch box.

So every thing is now ready to go back in the pumpkin. It was an extreme pita to take it out in the first place. But now its even harder to get back in. Any idea's? I've been wrestling around with it for 2 hours, just cant get it. Help before i start breaking s%#!.. thanks

Sounds like you need a case spreader....Might check around and see if some parts house has one to loan out...
Case spreaders are like a big "C", they have pins on each side to fit into the holes on each side of the housing, turn the screw on the "C" and it will spread the housing just enough to get the shims and carrier back into the saddles ...
Good luck.... "BH"
