Decal Removal

Hello, I was searching for similar threads but could not find anything. The previous owner placed a sticker decal stuck on the side. The decal is of a jeep club he belonged to but I do not. I was wondering how I should go about removing this without damaging the paint or removing the Jeep decals?
Thanks in advance.

Use a heat gun. They should easily peel off. You can use alcohol to remove the residue.

Heat gun. Don't go too crazy with it though. WD-40 works also for removing the glue

I would use a blow dryer first to prevent any damage to paint. Heat it until you can get just a piece of it raised. Then use fishing line or something similar to slice it off. They also make an eraser that you can buy at most auto parts stores. Goo Gone will be safe for cleaning off residual glue.

Yep, I'd start with a hair dryer and some fishing line, dental floss or a credit card to get it started, you'll be surprised how easily it'll come off most likely.... Then lighter fluid or goo gone for the residue, clay bar, wash and wax and voila....

Thanks for the help everyone. I did it yesterday but couldn't post anything because I had to go to work. While I started taking it off, i saw potential in part of it so i used a razor blade and cut the decal so it would only remove what i wanted. I ended up using a hair dryer, credit card and a razor blade along with googone to remove the residue. The decal is pretty cool now and fairly unique.
