C'mon! IMHO, someone waves at you or your JEEP, you wave back! Even liberty's are JEEP's! They were probably saying "wow, what a cool Wrangler! I wish I had one!" Real Jeepers aren't snobs! (They may have had a Mr. CLIFFORD type beast in the garage!) Encourage others in JEEP love, it'll make the world a better place!

I'v been waving at other non-wranglers a lot more sence I got a wave from a range rover few weeks back. I try to wave while im in my mustang but most jeepers cant see me way down there with the tinted windows!

If I get a wave, no matter who it is they deserve a wave back.

I had a guy in a lifted f250 with 44's wave at me the other day. I was really taken back. If its a jeep wave back no matter the type. You never know when the KJ might have to pull you out.

Yes, you have to wave back... and for crying out loud get your finger out of your nose while you're doing it.

it was just a question and it has nothing to do with being a jerk, its an acknowledgement of one jeeper to another much like harleys and vetts. i was just wondering if libertys applied, thats all, you all took this and ran with it

I know, ain't we fun. (we're just teasing you, twelve)

I barely have any jeeps wave to me so I've not had to make the choice whether to wave or not.

sarcasm is difficult to translate via written communication. i know your teasting, its just that i really dont feel like waving to every little 16 year old with a liberty, it kinda seems like the acknowledgement should be reserved for those who have an true knowledge, understanding and appreciation not just something they saw happen and they and thier friends picked up on it. You may be right, but...I know some jeepers who are so elitist that they won't wave just because another jeep is stock. Somehow I find that wrong.

That's why I'm one of those who waves to wranglers and waves back to the rest if they wave to me. At least I don't have the bewildered "who the hell are you?" look on my face anymore.

I don't wave first at other types of Jeeps unless they are modified. If it is modified you know it is a real Jeeper. I will aknowledge any Jeep wave though. I wave at Jeeps when I am driving my Chevy Venture or even the Chevy Aveo I deliver Pizza in.

I mess with the Toyota drivers and wave to them all the time. I also wave to other Jeeps when I'm not driving my Jeep..(my wife thinks I'm a nut).

Look at it this way, flip it around to the other side. How would you like to be treated? If you wave at someone and they do not wave at you back how does that sit with you? You would most likely not feel completely OK with that...

Being part of the Jeep culture brings opportunities sometimes. It also brings responsibilities IMHO. If we all carried on like a bunch of elitists (which I'm not trying to imply you are) it would not cast the Jeep culture in a very positive light. I'm not saying we have to hand out flyers and sing songs all day but there is a general perception that Jeep people are friendly, generous people.

If you chose to perpetuate and contribute to that image that is your choice. All we ask is that you do not detract form that image. Hey, did you think maybe it was some hot chick trying to get your attention?

I feel bad in the mornings because not many jeeps get a wave--not before my caffiene lol. In general though I wave at all CJ, YJ, TJ and JK's. I will wave at other vehicles also if they are built and USED!

It's the same way with older cars. I get a lot of waves with my Fairlane from other drivers with older cars. The first time I got a wave from a guy in a 66 or so Chevelle, I didn't wave back because it was a Chevy.

Thinking about it though, we are in the same "community" by driving older cars, just like Wranglers, motorcycles (ever notice how guys on Harleys and Yamahas/other sport bikes even wave to each other) and school buses.

Yea, the KJ may not be a Wrangler, but for that matter, a CJ isn't a Wrangler either. What other brand uses a seven slot grille, squared off wheel openings and sponsors a camp for owners of all its vehicles, both past and present.

Plus, without the Grand Cherokees, Liberties, Patriots/Compasses, etc, there would be no Wranglers.
